Big Baller Brand Rebrand

Art Direction & Branding (Spec Work)

I reimagined Big Baller Brand to better align its visual identity with its luxury price point. The original branding felt disconnected from products positioned at premium levels, including $200 footwear.

The redesign introduces a bold primary logo with flexible secondary lockups built to live across apparel while staying fresh. The brand’s unapologetic attitude is inspired by founder LaVar Ball, a larger-than-life personality known for extreme confidence (famously claiming he could beat Michael Jordan one-on-one). That bravado is reflected in oversized typography and assertive headlines, while black-and-white marble textures bring a clean, modern luxury feel with a palace-like edge.

The brand is sometimes referred to as “Triple B” and the old logo has a 3B as well as BBB. I felt this was a little redundant and logo wasn’t friendly for merch, especially on shoes. I decided to just keep the 3B part using a cleaner font for the B. Since all the Bs are important in the name I gave them equal importance.
